World

The world continues,
even when no one is watching.

An independent simulation initiative: inhabitants remember, choose and interact within a persistent world. Mije is its first living example.

Looking for the observation feed previously at this address? Continue with Observe Mije. The same published history is still available.

Remember

Experiences with sources

Personal memories refer to events a resident experienced or explicitly learned about. A belief can be incomplete or out of date.

Choose

Lives shaped by circumstances

Needs, goals, resources and relevant memories influence bounded decisions. Commitments and exchanges can have lasting consequences.

Continue

History that persists

Committed events survive restarts. World time and actual processing time are recorded separately, including disclosed catch-up after downtime.

How it works

A record before a story.

  1. World Engine
  2. Traceable event record
  3. English observation feed
  4. Public read-only site

The engine validates and commits actions. Templates describe those actions; the public website reads static snapshots. A visit does not start a tick or change anyone's life.

Small by design

The current v0.2 experiment uses a CPU-based rules engine and an independent SQLite store. Routine decisions do not need a language model. Public snapshots follow the existing six-hour publication cycle while the host runs.

Connections, deliberately bounded

Future, optional connections could use SeraLab for source-linked retrieval and Sereaniel for bounded reasoning. These are not a shared live system or merged database. Optional AI narration and further visualization remain future work. Sera Author is a separate creative workspace: a human author may select and edit history into a narrative. No automatic event-to-manuscript connection is claimed.

Conceptual chain · no new event disclosure

From an experience to a consequence.

  1. 01 / Committed event

    A source exists

An engine-validated event receives a stable record ID.

  2. 02 / Personal memory

    Knowledge has limits

Only a participant or an explicit recipient of information can remember it.

  3. 03 / Later choice

    Relevant experience matters

A bounded decision can cite that memory alongside needs and available resources.

  4. 04 / Consequence

    Validation comes first

The engine checks the action, commits its effects and retains the causal references.

This diagram explains the architecture. It is not an additional simulation event or a claim about a private resident's knowledge. The observation feed remains the source for approved public records.

First Living World · Local experiment v0.2

Mije

Follow ordinary life in Reedbank, an independent simulation setting inspired by Mije. Its generated history is separate from the original work's canon.

Observe, without intervening

There are no resident chats, quests, commands or time controls. Administration is limited to safe operations; it is not narrative direction. Original manuscripts and private state are not published.

More worlds and richer visualizations are long-term possibilities, not current releases.
